Scripture
The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; which indeed is smaller than all seeds but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.[1]
Lyrics.
[Verse 1]
Well, I carried somethin’ tiny, Lord, no bigger than a grain,
Yeah, I carried somethin’ tiny, Lord, no bigger than a grain.
But it grew into a shelter, keepin’ me dry in the rain.
[Verse 2]
They say faith moves mountains, even when your hope runs low,
Mmm, faith moves mountains, even when your hope runs low.
Plant that little seed inside you, watch it rise and start to grow.
[Verse 3]
Birds rest in its branches, shade fallin’ on the ground,
Yeah, the birds rest in its branches, shade fallin’ on the ground.
That’s how a small piece of heaven, makes a mighty, peaceful sound.
[4th Verse]
Started like nothin’, just a handful in my hand,
Started like nothin’, just a handful in my hand.
Now it’s a tree standin’ tall — workin’ by the Lord’s own plan.
