Strong Man Blues

A raw Delta-blues gospel inspired by Mark 3:27 — the parable of the strong man and the stronger One who binds him. This song follows the old blues tradition: sparse acoustic guitar, gritty vocal delivery, and a sermon-like rhythm that lets the message breathe. It tells the story of darkness guarding its house… and the moment light walks through the door.

²⁷In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house.

You can’t break into a strong man’s house, no, you can’t steal his gold,
You can’t break into a strong man’s house, leave his secrets uncontrolled.
Gotta bind that strong man first,
Yeah, before his riches can be told.

Strong man sittin’ by the doorway, fists clenched tight as stone,
Strong man guardin’ all his treasure, callin’ darkness home.
But there’s a voice comin’ down the road,
Sayin’, “That house won’t stand alone.”

Came with truth like thunder, came with Heaven’s word.
Strong man trembled in the doorway,
When he heard the voice of the Lord.
